SERVICES | Adult Training Centers (ATC)

 Maximizing the potential of our residents and community clients is the goal and focus of our Adult Training Centers. Our services are offered at six sites in Bergen (3), Passaic (2) and Middlesex (1) counties. Each program provides a variety of stimulating programs which teach and improve skills. Activities and events are available to the participants including but not limited to; socialization, practical arts, computers, recreation, crafts, community integration, sensory Integration, psychological, clinical and medical services, fine and gross motor skills, reading, and psychological services. The centers provide a positive environment for participants to maintain or develop their skills and interests. The centers located in Edison, Teaneck, North Haledon, Ringwood and Westwood provide training in many areas, including computers, speech therapy, physical and occupational therapy, and psychological services. Participants receive the training and support needed to maximize their potential and achieve personal goals. Westwood Adult Training Center  Provides training in computers, practical arts, crafts and contract work. Nursing services, physical and occupational therapies, speech pathology, feeding therapies, sensory integration and related services are also provided. The center is located at 150 Tillman Street, Westwood, NJ 07675 North Haledon Adult Training Center Provides computer training, practical arts, contract work, crafts, socialization and community events. The center has a special needs component for individuals with behavioral challenges which provide behavioral supports, psychological services and occupational therapy. The center is located at 681 High Mountain Road, North Haledon, NJ 07508 Teaneck Adult Training Center The Teaneck ATC includes four (4) program components: Traditional Adult Training, Special Needs Adult Training, Community Integration and Adult Day Health Care. The Adult Day Health Care provides services to individuals with medical needs including nursing, rehabilitation, clinical services and socialization. The two Adult Training components are traditional and special needs. The special needs component is designed for individuals who are wheelchair bound, have ambulation problems or have medical concerns. Services include traditional day program services combined with physical, occupational and speech therapies, nursing services, and sensory integration programs. Spectrum Community Integration Program (SCIP) is the fourth component at the TATC. The program provides individual and group placements in competitive employment. The center is located at 1200 River Road, Teaneck NJ 07666 Carver Avenue Adult Training Center A specialized day program designed for individuals with behavioral challenges providing specialty and supportive services. Programs include computer education, socialization, behavioral intervention and sensory integration activities. Contact the Program Director for further information at (201)263-1272. The center is located at 91 Carver Avenue, Westwood NJ 07675 Edison Adult Training Center The Edison Adult Training Program provides traditional adult training services as well as a medical special needs component and a behavioral special needs component. The program offers practical arts, crafts, computer training, community integration and sensory integration. Contact the Program Director at (732) 287-1104. The center is located at 200 Spectrum Dr, Edison NJ Ringwood Adult Training Center The Ringwood Adult Training Center provides traditional and medical special needs programs. The center provides traditional day program options along with computer training and community integration. Contact the Program Director at (973) 962-6688.
